What Jerrad Pawar said

"I had about $125,000 in my bankroll and my debt was about 600,000," Pawar says. He calls it "a horrific financial position" and explains that for three years after moving into his house, he "did not have the money to pay taxes. That was where most of the debt was to the government."

He says he "was the one who pushed for the house," which made it harder: "especially as a father you're like this is... your job to provide." In September, he told his wife that if he didn't make "like 100 grand in the next 3 months," they'd need to talk about selling. "When you're in desperate spots, you kind of have to figure it out," he says. "I think I made those next three months 140 and got some breathing" room.
