Real name and stage name

Haerin is a mononym from her own given name. Her full name is Kang Hae-rin (강해린), and she performs without her family name.

She was born on May 15, 2006. Haerin is best known as a member of NewJeans, the girl group that debuted on July 22, 2022, under ADOR, a label within HYBE. The group's debut was one of the most talked-about in K-pop, and NewJeans quickly became known for a relaxed, Y2K-influenced sound and style.

NewJeans members are Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein. Billboard has covered the group's releases, including the EP Get Up, which included tracks featuring the group's distinctive minimal pop sound.

Haerin is frequently named by fans and media as one of the group's most recognizable members and has worked with international fashion and luxury brands.

Because Haerin is her real given name, there is no separate pseudonym. Haerin's real name is Kang Hae-rin.
