Jimmy: James "Jimmy" De Santa (GTA Character Bio)

Fictional character. James "Jimmy" De Santa is a fictional character from Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto series. They're not a real person.

Bio

James "Jimmy" De Santa is the son of Michael De Santa, one of the three protagonists of Grand Theft Auto V. He's voiced by Danny Tamberelli, known for the Nickelodeon shows The Adventures of Pete & Pete and All That. He also appears in Grand Theft Auto Online.

Jimmy is in his early twenties and lives at home in the family's Rockford Hills mansion. He's lazy, entitled and spends most of his time playing video games, smoking weed and talking big. He constantly asks his father for money and respect, while doing very little to earn either.

His relationship with Michael is one of the main threads in the family story. Michael is frustrated with him, and Jimmy resents his father. Their fights are often funny, but they show how the De Santa family is falling apart.

Jimmy is at the center of several early missions. In one, a car thief he gets involved with drives off with Michael's car while Jimmy is still inside. In another story beat, Jimmy drugs his father during a family argument, leading to one of GTA V's strangest scenes.

Spoiler note: Later in the story, the family leaves Michael for a time. Michael then tries to rebuild things, including going through family therapy. Jimmy's ending depends on the player's choices in the finale. In the main "Deathwish" ending, the family stays together.

Jimmy is one of GTA V's most memorable supporting characters because his behavior is so believable. Fans see him as both annoying and oddly sympathetic.

Jimmy is fictional. Danny Tamberelli's voice credit is documented in the GTA V credits and on Behind The Voice Actors.
