Jisoo (지수) Real Name: Kim Ji-soo (김지수) — 본명

Quick answer

Jisoo's real name is Kim Ji-soo (Korean: 김지수). Born January 3, 1995, she is a South Korean singer and actress and a member of Blackpink.

Real name and stage name

Jisoo is a mononym taken from her own given name. Her full name is Kim Ji-soo (김지수), and like many Korean performers she simply drops the family name on stage. There is no separate invented stage name behind it.

She was born on January 3, 1995, in South Korea. Jisoo rose to prominence as a member of Blackpink, which debuted under YG Entertainment in August 2016. The group went on to become one of the best-selling girl groups of all time and one of the most visible K-pop acts in the world.

Her solo career began in March 2023 with the single album Me. It became the best-selling album by a Korean female soloist and the first by one to sell more than a million copies. Its lead single, "Flower," peaked at number two on both the Billboard Global 200 and South Korea's Circle Digital Chart. It also set records as the highest-charting song by a Korean female soloist on the Canadian Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart.

In 2024 Jisoo set up her own label, Blissoo, and in 2025 she signed with Warner Records. She then released the EP Amortage, whose single "Earthquake" became her first number one on the US Billboard World Digital Songs chart. Also in 2025 she earned her first entry on the US Billboard Hot 100 with "Eyes Closed."

Outside music, Jisoo is an actress. She made her acting debut with a cameo in a 2015 TV series and later took on leading drama roles, which helped her build a following separate from her group work.

So if you are looking up Jisoo's real name, it is Kim Ji-soo. The name you hear on stage is just her first name, the same one on her official records.
