Kim Jong-in was born on January 14, 1994. He is a member of EXO, the SM Entertainment boy group that debuted in 2012, and of SuperM, a supergroup SM formed with members from several of its acts. Kai is widely recognized in South Korea as one of K-pop's best dancers.

He debuted as a soloist on November 30, 2020, with the EP Kai. He has since released three more EPs: Peaches, Rover and Wait On Me.

Kai has also acted, with roles in the TV dramas Andante (2017), Spring Has Come (2018) and The Miracle We Met (2018). He has hosted or joined variety shows, including Changing Majors.

He is often described by fashion media as a style icon and has worked as a brand ambassador, muse and model for several fashion houses.
