Fictional character. Kent Paul is a fictional character from Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto series. They're not a real person.

Bio

Kent Paul is a fast-talking British promoter and hanger-on in Vice City and San Andreas. He's voiced by English actor Danny Dyer.

In Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, set in 1986, Paul is a well-connected scenester who hangs around the Malibu Club. He gives Tommy Vercetti tips about the city's underworld and points him to useful contacts. He's also tied to the rock band Love Fist, whose missions are some of the most absurd in the game.

Paul is vain, cowardly and always looking for an angle, but he's useful. He knows everybody, and he's usually near trouble without being the one in danger.

He comes back in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, set in the early 1990s. He's now managing the singer Maccer, and he's stranded in the desert after a bad night. CJ finds him, and through Paul the story connects to Ken Rosenberg. Paul and Rosenberg become part of the Caligula's Palace storyline in Las Venturas, and later of Madd Dogg's comeback.

Spoiler note: Paul survives both games. He's mostly comic relief, but his contacts open up important parts of each story.

Kent Paul is one of the few characters to appear in two of the 3D-era games. Danny Dyer's performance makes him instantly recognizable.

Kent Paul is fictional. Danny Dyer's voice credits are documented in the Vice City and San Andreas credits and on Behind The Voice Actors.
