Bio

Luis Fernando Lopez is the protagonist of The Ballad of Gay Tony, GTA IV's second expansion. He's voiced by Mario D'Leon.

Luis is a Dominican-American from Liberty City who works as a bodyguard and business partner for Tony Prince, better known as "Gay Tony," the owner of two nightclubs. Tony is a nightlife legend, but he's buried in debt to loan sharks and the mob, and he has a drug problem. Luis is the one who keeps the business, and Tony, together.

The Ballad of Gay Tony is the lightest and most over-the-top part of GTA IV. It's full of nightclubs, parties, skydiving and explosive missions. That's partly because of Luis' employers, including Yusuf Amir, a reckless Arab real estate heir.

Even so, Luis' story has a serious side. He grew up in a poor Dominican neighborhood with his mother and friends, and he did time in prison. He's trying to stay out of trouble and look after his family, but his loyalty to Tony keeps pulling him back into danger.

Luis' story overlaps with Niko Bellic's and Johnny Klebitz's, and players see some events from all three points of view. Luis is fictional, but Mario D'Leon's credit is listed in the official credits for the GTA IV era.
